SHOPPING IN LAS VEGAS

por Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA)

Whatever you want, Las Vegas has it. From the most exuberant designs to occasional offers, Las Vegas has become ideal for shopping. You’ll find everything from colorful stores to souvenirs the elegant couture boutiques, both in the center and in adjacent areas of Strip.

But you won’t be alone in this shopping endeavor. More than half of the 39 million visitors who come to Las Vegas each year spend a good deal of time shopping, according to a study that outlined the profile of the shopper, carried out annually by the Las Vegas Visitor Profile Study.

The most requested

The most popular places for Brazilians are undoubtedly the famous outlets. There are two different outlets in Las Vegas and, of course, they are completely far apart. Both belong to the Premium Outlets chain, which is already well known in many parts of the country.

These outlets offer discounts ranging from 25% to 70% every day on an impressive and enticing list of stores: Tommy Hilfiger, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Tahari, Fossil, Diesel, GAP, Guess, DKNY, Kenneth Cole, Lacoste, Nike, Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, St. John, Theory, A|X Armani Exchange and much more, totaling more than 120 different brands and designers.

But which of the two outlests is better?

Well, although they belong to the same network, there are many differences between them. In a nutshell, we can say that Outlet North is better than Outlet South because it has more stores, more brands, more product options in each store and a much larger structure. This North outlet is a long way from the Strip (a taxi, for example, will never cost less than $40) and is open-air, i.e. it’s like a village of stores, where you can walk between the streets that connect the stores. See the image below.

Las Vegas Premium Outlets

Outlet South is smaller, but that doesn’t mean it’s too small. It’s closer to the Strip (a taxi, for example, can cost between $15 and $20) and has a closed structure, just like shopping malls in Brazil. The advantage of this outlet is for when the weather is too hot or too cold, as the whole environment is air-conditioned and more suited to the changeable climate.
